Meet Amelia + Ryan

We're Amelia + Ryan — music makers, harmony obsessives, professional wedding criers (yep, we still get teary during vows), and the founders of PAPER HEARTS.

We’re a real-life married duo who met in a Sydney recording studio back in 2011 (insert rom-com montage here), fell head over harmonies for each other, tied the knot, and eventually relocated to Melbourne with our instruments, cat, and coffee machine in tow.

​

Our thing? Gorgeous, goosebump-inducing vocal harmonies. Acoustic vibes. Songs that make people smile, sway, and sneak a little slow dance when they think no one’s watching. Whether it’s walking down the aisle, cocktail hour sing-alongs, or keeping the dance floor buzzing til the very last song — we’re there for it all. With acoustic guitar, cajon (that cool box drum thing) or piano, and vocals that intertwine like two people who’ve literally sung together for years (because we have), we bring a heartfelt, full-sounding experience.

Before PAPER HEARTS, Ryan was gigging across the country (and globe) with cover bands and originals, producing for artists you’ve probably heard on shows like Australian Idol, The Voice, and X Factor. Meanwhile, Amelia grew up between Sydney and London, performing in West End musicals and, fun fact, had a line in the first Harry Potter movie. She also sang in Thomas the Tank Engine. So, technically, your kids already love her.

Together, we get weddings. Like, really get them. As both a vendor and a couple who's been there (and bought the seating chart), we know how to read a room and shape the soundtrack of your day so it’s personal, joy-filled and completely unforgettable.

We play as a duo, a trio, or even shift gears into DJ mode for our much-loved Duo/DJ hybrid package. Whatever the vibe, we’ll bring the magic.
